Sean O’Malley almost faints at UFC 280 press conference-Sean O’Malley vs. Petra Ian is in the headlines for UFC 280, scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The main card airs on pay-per-view following the anticipated prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.

Suga had a bizarre incident at the UFC 280 press conference in London where he fainted in the conference hall.

“At the press conference, I was like getting a hot flash,” “The lights were too bright, dude. I legitimately freaked out for a second. Yeah, I thought I was going to pass out. It was so scary, dude. It was so scary.

“I remember answering a question and being like, ‘Oh, f—k!’

“I almost wanted to get up and walk off the stage, but I didn’t know if I could,” he said. “I think I played it well enough. I was listening to the questions, but I couldn’t think of how I wanted to answer them. But then it kind of went away, it was just a few minutes.”

O’Malley (15-1 1 NC), one of the sport’s most promising prospects, lost his fight with Pedro Munhoz at UFC 276 due to a medical stoppage with an eye poke that was later diagnosed as a corneal abrasion. The 27-year-old UFC fighter is 7-1 with NC and competes out of Glendale, Arizona.

However, Petr Yan, 29, lost to Sterling (16-3, 8-2 UFC) in a bantamweight championship rematch at UFC 273 in April. Since O’Malley has yet to face a striker of his caliber, his boxing will be a challenge for him as it ranks among the sport’s best.
