The premium streaming platform will be integrated with Viacom18’s Super Service. Bakish unveiled the plans during the Credit Suisse Communications Conference.

Paramount + India launch: Bakish has announced that the streamer with Viacom 18 along with its JV will be launched in India.
“We are going to launch in India. We are very excited about it. We are doing this with our JV, Viacom18, which you know as a partner of Reliance.
Reliance is the most powerful company in India and now Bodhi Trio is involved. They just got exclusive streaming rights for cricket. Cricket will no longer be at Paramount +, but Paramount + will be merged with their super service.
So again, we don’t have to invest in local content. We don’t have to invest in local marketing. We ride alongside the super service. ” Bakish added.
How much did Viacom18 IPL Media cost to acquire the rights?
IPL Media Rights Value: It is noteworthy that BCCI has earned a total of Rs 48,390 crore from the sale of IPL media rights for the 2023-27 cycle.
About 52% of this money came from Viacom18 stable. Viacom has been awarded Package B (Digita Rights for India), Package C (Non-Exclusive Rights of Selected Matches) and a few Overseas Territories.
- Package A: It has been sold to Disney Star for Rs 23,575 crore
- Package B: Viacom has received the Rs 20,500 crore package
- Package C: Viacom has received this non-exclusive package for Rs 3,273 crore
- Package D: Viacom18 and Times Internet have shared foreign TV and digital rights for Rs 1,324 crore. Viacom18 won the rights to the AUS, SA, UK territories, where the Times Internet MENA and the US sector won.
Paramount International Expansion Plan: The Paramount CEO added that the most important strategy for a growing international business company.
According to him, launches in the Indian market will further strengthen their position globally.

We are in a very good position to increase streaming internationally using our international operating footprint.
