Pakistan cruised to a comfortable seven-wicket win in Amsterdam on Thursday, with the hosts bowled out for 186 in 44 overs and Babar Azam’s fifty leading Pakistan’s chase with over 16 overs to spare. The result took the men in green above Afghanistan with a total of 110 points to their name.

Meanwhile, India also secured a huge 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in Harare on Thursday. Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan scored 81 and 82 respectively as the Men in Blue chased down Zimbabwe’s modest score of 189 runs. The win helped India extend their lead over Australia to 7.

ICC ODI World Cup 2023: Qualification Situation

Each team earns 10 points for a win, five for a tie/no result/abandoned match and zero for a loss. The top eight teams will get direct entry to the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The remaining teams will play in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers along with five associate teams. Two teams from the qualifying tournament will then advance to the World Cup. India qualified automatically by being the host of the tournament.
