“It will be a proud moment for me to realize that every young boy dreams of playing for his country. I got a taste of the environment before playing for ATK Mohun Bagan. Here Kolkata fans are football crazy. I hope they will also come to the match to celebrate for the national team. Says Colaco.

Liston, who signed for City giants ATK Mohun Bagan last season, scored four goals in the AFC Cup for Kolkata, including six for the Greens and the Maroons in the last ISL season.

Colaco has been identified as one of the future stars of the national team. Kolako believes that the current squad, which is full of youngsters like him, can form the core of the national team in the next decade in an effort to make India the top football team in the region.

“If we continue to improve ourselves, as we always do in our training. I think this young team is talented and hardworking. So if we maintain it, we will definitely be able to achieve something bigger for the national team in the future, “said Kolako.
