LSG lost to KKR Highlights: Chasing 211 to survive the contest, KKR got off to the worst possible start where Venkatesh Iyer and Abhijit Tomar both fell to KKR with just 11/2 off 3 overs to Mohsin Khan. However, Nitish Rana took the attack to Avesh Khan and formed a strong partnership with captain Shreyas Iyer as they scored 60 runs in the first six overs.

Rana eventually died for Krishnappa Gautham for 42 runs. However, Iyer and Sam Billings kept ticking the scoreboard, with KKR exceeding the 100-run mark in the 11th over. Captain Shreyas was particularly tough on the spin and scored a quick half-century before being deeply out to speed up scoring. KKR needed 6 runs in the last four overs.

However, tonight it could not be from the big man as he took five wickets off 11 balls, Mohsin Khan picked up his third in the great spell of 3/20. When the game was over and dusty, Sunil Narine and Rinku Singh started attacking late to keep their prey.

21 runs were required in the final over, Rinki hit the first three balls for 16 runs but was destroyed if KKR needed 2 to 3 runs. Stoinis sealed the deal by knocking out Umesh Yadav of the final delivery to ensure their place in the playoffs. In the meantime, KKR dropped out.
