The RCB had a problem with the early loss of captain Faf du Plessis, where Virat Kohli fought for time. Before taking matters into their own hands, the Reds’ men were scoring moderately in the powerplay.
Krunal Pandya, who bowled the last over of the powerplay, was taken to the cleaners. Patidar hit a continuous boundary over the infield before making a launch at the stand. Things did not end there for Krunal as Patidar then punched him offside to turn it into a 20-run over and RCB crossed the 50-run mark.

Patidar finally reached his half-century, even after both Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell failed to count it and the wickets fell at the other end. This is Patidar’s only second fifty in his IPL career, including his first against the Gujarat Titans earlier this season.
