On top of that, the Red Bull have now increased their position by 80 points from second-ranked Ferrari to the constructors’ position. In addition, Max Verstapen also increased his lead in the drivers’ position as he has 150 points and Perez is in second place with 129 points.

Ferrari had a shocking time in the last round as both of their drivers had to retire due to mechanical problems. First Carlos Senz retired due to hydraulic problems and then it was the turn of Charles Leclerc who retired due to loss of power.

Carlos Senz registered his third DNF of the season and Charles Leclerc his second. Charles, meanwhile, started the last four races from the pole position but failed to win any of them. However, things remain the same for Mercedes as they had a fairly good weekend after last 3-4 finishing in Baku. George Russell maintained the good form of his run as he finished on the podium for the third time this season and took the Hamilton P4 spot.

Moreover, Hamilton’s P4 in Baku came at a cost because when he came out of his W13 cockpit, he suffered severe back pain. The British driver was even skeptical about the Canadian GP but said he would not back down from the race in Montreal.
