In the FP1 session, Alfa Romeo’s Valteri Botas took first place and he was second and third behind Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sange. Meanwhile, it rained in the FP1 session because ten drivers were not able to watch their lap time.

In the FP2 session, Carlos Senz took first place, followed by Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris in second and third place. Home Heroes in the form of Hamilton and Norris did not disappoint fans.

F1 British GP Live: How Qualification Sessions Work
The qualifying round will begin today at 22:30 IST. The qualifying session is divided into three parts, Q1, Q2 and Q3. The Q1 lasts 18 minutes and has all 20 cars on the grid. At the end of Q1, five slower cars were dropped. Drivers who finish 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 are excluded.
The Q2 session lasts 15 minutes and there are 15 cars on the grid Again slower cars were dropped from 11th to 15th position. The Q3 lasts 12 minutes and has 10 cars on the grid. The position that drivers will finish in Q3 will be their starting grid position for the race.
