Alcaraz climbed two places to ninth in the world thanks to his straight-set victory over Pablo Carreোo Busta in the final of the Barcelona Open on Sunday.

Britain’s Cameron Norie has dropped out of the top ten at number 11.

It was the third title of the season for Alcaraz, who won the Miami Masters earlier this month and the Rio Tournament in February.

Carreno Busta switched to another Spaniard, Roberto Batista Agut, with the former climbing to 18 and the latter moving from one place to 19.

Despite losing to Russian Andrei Rublev in the final of the Belgrade Open, Novak Djokovic is still at the top of the standings. World number two Daniel Medvedev is suffering from hernia.
