75 Years of Independence – India vs Zimbabwe ODI Series: Like the entire nation, the Indian cricket team in Zimbabwe is also celebrating Independence Day with joy. Shikhar Dhawan has already posted a nice message for India. The team led by KL Rahul will visit the Indian Embassy in Zimbabwe to celebrate Independence Day. On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, the stars of Team India will visit the Indian Consulate in Harare on Monday. The Men in Blue arrived in Harare over the weekend with KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav joining the squad with coach VVS Laxman on Sunday.

The entire traveling team, including players and coaching staff, is expected to travel with the Indian Embassy in the same city as the venue of India’s ODI matches. The consulate has already stepped up its preparations for the special day, with special tributes paid to mark the occasion.

Earlier on Sunday, Team India had their first practice session after reaching Harar. Vice-captain Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Chahar and Tuturaj Gaikwad were spotted in practice. Captain KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav were notable absentees for Sunday’s appearance.

India picked a second-string team with full-time coach Rahul Dravid on a break and VVS Laxman to coach the side. This is Laxman’s second assignment with the Indian team, having served during India’s two T20I tours to Ireland.
